Movie Review 1: Beauty And The Beast

A thing that I learn from this legendary Disney movie is how one sacrifice themselves for their loved one. Belle a young beautiful girl lived in a village with his father who is an inventor. Belle likes to read but often being called odd because she rarely socialize with the villagers. Gaston, a young man who is admired by many residence of the village, was attracted by Belle’s perfect complexion and wanted to marry her.

One day, Belle’s father went away to sell his new invented machine that chops wood. He got lost in the woods and attempt to meet a pack of wolves. He fell from his horse when being attack and was left solitary in the woods with nowhere to go. He was cold, sick and starving. He crunched his way until he accidentally found a majestic gate of an abandon castle. He was dubious but he really needs a place to rest. So, he went into the castle and ask if anybody is home.

He was delightful to be welcome into the house by the talking furniture. He was given a sofa to nicely sit on, a blanket to warm his bodies and a cup of tea to make him feel better. But one thing he didnt know is that the house holds a big ferocious beast that is full of anger in him. The beast noticed the presence of the old man and is not welcome by that. He was full of rage. He grab the man and throw him into the dungeon as a prisoner. No one was welcome into his castle.

At home, Gaston came to Belle’s house and asked her to marry him. Belle rejected him immediately and ask him to leave. A moment later, his father’s horse returned home with no presence of his father. Belle’s was shocked and worried. She quickly grab her coat and left into the woods the search for his father. Belle reached the haunted castle and was confirmed of her father presence by her father’s hat left at the big gate.

She found his father prisoned at the dungeon and quickly approached him. His father begged her to leave the dark place but she refuse. The beast came to the dungeon to found Belle and his father. The beast stand at a dark corner and ask Belle to leave or she will be prisoned as well. Belle made a deal to exchange his father position and released his father. The beast agreed and without asking much unlocked the old man and sent him back to his village immediately. Belle didnt even get a chance to say goodbye to her father for the last time.

Belle then lived in the castle but was not being prison. She fell inlove with the beast and made him a good person again. In the end, she lived happily ever after in the castle with the beast who is eventually a prince who is under a curse, his father and the talking furniture which actually is the castle’s maidens.

Belle shows how a sacrifice can make things better. She sacrifice herself in exchange of his father and at last they are together again living happier than before. Her sacrifice was worth it and makes thing even better.

P/s: Gaston died.
